Games - Alien Swarm - Free Valve Game, posted by Bean

It is playable in first-person mode via a few entries in the console.

[code:1:767d32e7b0]firstperson

asw_hide_marine 1

asw_controls 0[/code:1:767d32e7b0]

First one enables firstperson mode, second one hides your marine so you can see, third one changes the camera controls to be more FPS like.

To enable the console, go to Options > Keyboard > Enable developer console. Then hit the ` key on the keyboard. Then enter each of the above commands to set first-person mode on.

View this thread

View this forum

Hardware/Software - ninite.com - Auto install your favourite apps, posted by Bean

Assuming you get stuck helping your friends and family out with their new PCs, give the following website a go :-

http://ninite.com/

It basically lets you select all the software you may want to install on a virgin PC and then creates a unattended installer that will download and install it for you.

You can even choose the standard apps yourself and just email them a link that would download the pre-defined installer.

Works nicely.

Most ppl will have it on their primary account as I think we all got the Orange Box for TF2 when it came out.

I'm quite looking forward to the CS:Source update that is currently in beta. I wonder if mod developers have access to achievements too, eg some in GunGame would be great.

View this thread

View this forum
