There's been some fairly big updates to L4D2, CS:S and TF2 in the last two weeks. I would suggest that as usual everyone upgrades before you get to BobLan to reduce pressure on the Internet pipe (so that me and Gee can continue to play BF3 unimpeded ;) ).

The early rumours about MW3 hinted at the continued lack of dedicated server support for LAN play, however that appears to have been reversed. It doesn't look like the standalone server that we had for CoD4 - more like a listen server on a client, but far better than MW2 and BF3's offering. I've got the game installed - will have a play and see what's available for BobLAN.

I'm with daz, BF3 MP is epic! The vehicles are just so well done - and the graphics are sweet, even on my imac. The explosions when I fly the heli in to the ground are really quite pretty :) unlocks are annoying, but that's just the way things are going I guess... All I have so far is the C4 and a few other bits.
